IS IT AS IT IS

Buy This CD Here!!

From electric acid to folk-baroque-zep acoustic and back to heavy-rock-country with a twist of fiddle. Original blend of rock of the past meets rock of the future. The future that hasn't happened yet but will soon.          psst.... There's a message in the CD cover design. Hint:Think ET. If you figure something out, well...

Recording began in the spring of 2007.  Songs spanning the last 10 plus years to just recently, finally getting recorded.

ScrOO'd Up & InstruMENTAL

Here's a bunch of tunes that I screwed up.  I even screwed-up how so spell 'screwed up'.  And here are also some Instru'Mentals' that I play with my guitar & fiddle and a new instrument that I invented - (the gui'BANJO'tar).

Three of the tunes are my originals - ("Working Stiff", "This Time", and "Eddie's Boogie"). I revised "Carsonhead Road" only cheedok(a little bit).  All the rest are all screwed-up.

("Walter Went Down to Grannie's", "Beer In My Ear", "Honey", "Caronhead Road") Put my own twist to the fiddle and gui'BANJO'tar instrumentals. This is a solo effort, playing all the instuments -- guitars, fiddle, vocals, kazoo, and gui'BANJO'tar.  Backed up by 'Yamaha' the bass, and 'Roland' the drummer machine.

Recorded in 1995.

Fast Eddie's Collection

with 2 bonus tracks, "Tall Timber" and "Diesel Mack"

Finally,  his long awaited album is here.  He's been wanting this for years.  And here it is, a nice little keepsake.  The bugger is only 64 years young.

"Let me tell you 'bout a story 'bout a man named Ed  A poor Doukabor where he kept his family shed ..." Hold it, wait a minute, hold'em I told'em, that's another story.  Could very well be this one.  Well, here it is. An album featuring "Fast Eddie".  That's Ed Plotnikoff. And here is where it gets confusing.  The album produced, recorded, and musically arranged also by Ed Plotnikoff, but by a different Ed Plotnikoff.  Let me explain.  The first Ed Plotnikoff is "Fast Eddie" which is actually Ed Fredovich Plotnikoff.  The second Ed Plotnikoff is Ed Edovich Plotnikoff (also known as "Eddie & the Live Wires").

Now in English that doesn't sound right.  The middle name there is the patronim (father's name) which goes into the genative case (Russian grammer).  So in Russian, Ed translates into something that sounds like 'Ighnut'.  So the first Ed is Ighnut Fyodorovich Plotnikoff and the second Ed is Ighnut Ighnutovich Plotnikoff.

I hope that clears things up.  (This is what happens when you name your kid after yourself). So, "Fast Eddie" does most of the singing.  He wrote the words for "Sorrowed Heart" and "My Dad".  He screwed up the words for "Six Days" and "Danish Boys".  And  introducing to you Zoya Mounsteven, daughter of Fast Eddie, singing "In This Life".  And "Carsonhead Road" was screwed up and sung by "Eddie & the Live Wires" who also played the guitar and fiddle.  The "Live Wires" are Roland, the drummer and Yamaha, the bass player.  Funny, and they both play piano.

Produced by Eddie Plotnikoff,Jr.  Recorded at Live Wire Studio in summer of '93

I've been an iceroad trucker for 6 years now. Up around Yellowknife,NT. Usually go 3 months (7 days a week straight) Jan. to Apr. --- Have the occasional long, boring day so I write tunes in my head while I'm driving. Then when iceroad season is over I see what I could do about getting these...
